Why do people wait in the long line in the right lane and not turn right? Grrrrrrr...

These are the same people that don't see my turn signal as a notice that they have enough time to change out of that lane and maintain their current speed, but instead run up on my bumper close enough to make me nervous when I am turning. With no cars in the other lane. I will never understand it.
I suspect these might also be some of the same people that, instead of moving over a lane on the highway when someone is merging to give them an open lane, slow down and confuse the merging drivers (many of whom don't understand how to merge at the speed of traffic flow in the first place).

Mob mentality. Everyone else is doing it. I have experienced this several times in northern virginia. Huge line to get off the highway. The person in front of me just keeps going straight as we exit. I'm like...WHY WOULD YOU WAIT IN THIS LONG LINE!?
